Feelings are what make you human - which is why it's worth treating your emotional life to a liberating boost. My work revolves around releasing trapped emotions in the body and mind - emotions caused by negative experiences which can linger and drain you more than you realise. So why not enjoy feeling better - how you should feel? People spend more on material things than they do on their bodies and minds - yet I believe your emotions deserve better. Our feelings are what make us human.
Emotions are extremely powerful - on the mind, the body - and your life. You will already know how depression, fear, anger guilt, grief, shame or low self-esteem can affect you. Lethargy, stress, aches and illnesses are often caused by negative emotions not being fully felt, and being pushed into the body.
I help people every day who are tired of the negative emotions trapped in their bodies. It's great to see the liberating effects of emotional integration - because you then experience just how good you can really feel.
Sometimes blockages can develop over such long periods that the feelings themselves feel distant… like a kind of numbness or emptiness. There may be a nagging voice inside saying “I know I can feel better than this! Something isn’t quite right...”
Then it’s time to restore the balance.

My work helps to gently releases trapped feelings from the body, allowing them to enter awareness and be safely processed by the mind.
Once negative feelings are felt through to completion, our bodies and minds are then relieved from emotional stress and we can enjoy natural emotional health. Empowered, grounded, and balanced.
Examples of the kind of situations clients visit my practice for are:
- Low self-esteem
- Trauma recovery
- Unresolved grief
- Blocked creativity
- Frequent fear and anger
- Repetitive guilt and shame
Although for others there is no reason as such, just a ‘knowingness’ that something needs to be cleared, in order to feel whole again.
Freedom from the past
Our bodies will only bring up what we can handle. This work is not an abrupt process and does not suddenly lift the lid. It is a process that's led by the body's response to the work, which always moves at a pace that is manageable. A subtle response may be feeling deeply relaxed and feeling slight body sensations, and a more active response may include body movements and emotional release (e.g. crying). In either case, positive changes will be occurring at a deeper bodily level.
Feeling good in body and mind
When the backlog of blocked emotions has been cleared from your body, you will feel positive and fully alive again.
Your life will dramatically improve once you are in touch with your feelings in a healthy way, without the restriction from past pain.
Old habits and recurring themes from the past will no longer affect you.
Further Information
The sessions are based on a gentle, tactile approach (SHEN therapy), with you remaining fully clothed and still. The flows of natural electro-magnetic energy emanating from my hands pass through your body's emotional centres, loosening muscular contractions to facilitate the release of buried emotions in a safe and gentle way. Specific emotions are located at these centres, e.g. throat = self-expression, heart = sadness, solar plexus = anger. Once the centres are opened, suppressed emotions arise and are safely experienced. When emotions are fully experienced, their natural cycle is completed and your body is no longer holding on to them. You are then freed from the negative side-effects of emotional suppression.
Location: My practice is in Westminster, Central London and is easily accessible by bus and tube.
Duration and Frequency: After trying one or two sessions we can both get a feel for your response to the work, and then estimate the length of treatment based on a minimum of a one-hour session, once a week. For a number of reasons - and some unknown factors - certain people respond more actively than others. A typical course is 10 sessions, but this can be longer or shorter depending on your personal reaction and emotional material. I monitor the work closely as we work towards reaching your main objectives and aims.
